This is week 2 of our microcycle that will lead up to the second CrossFit Open of 2019! The heavy backsquatting will continue, along with gymnastics practice, barbell cycling, and a touch of anaerobic training to help increase our threshold of work capacity! Monday: Both classes will hit an aerobic style workout today with two chunks of work separated by a rest. We are at week 1 of the second half of our microcycle. After this second six weeks we will have one more "fun week" before we transition into the Fall 2019 CrossFit Open! The Open will be another five weeks with a workout announced every Thursday night, to be completed on Friday at Chaka! We have come to the end of our six week microcycle and are pivoting as we transition into the next six weeks that will lead up to the 2019 Fall CrossFit Open! This week we will tie up some loose ends (take another look at the Snatch, and continue to backsquat) as well as tackle some of the workouts from last week's CrossFit Games! There aren't many sports where you can directly measure yourself against the professionals, enjoy the chance to challenge yourself this week with workouts that the best of the best have completed! We are at week 6 of our microcycle, this week we will continue to work on our snatch skill, we will take a break from squatting but you will see a higher volume of getting below parallel in the WODs on Tuesday and Friday. As promised, you will see a heavier focus in WODs, have a strategy to tackle reps to minimize your transitions!
