Week of 2/3 to 2/8

We take our Functional Fitness seriously! Elba is a perfect model on how we train for every day life here at Chaka Crossfit.

That's a wrap! Our 12-week post open cycle has come to an end! We put up some big numbers and fast times in our retests last week, so now it's time to have some fun before our next cycle. Get ready for fun week because we are ready for you!

Monday: We're starting off Fun week with a bang! CrossFit takes on the infamous "Sevens" workout, while Chaka Fit gets under some big weights for a strength and then tackles a 16 minute AMRAP. Dominate that dumbbell!

Tuesday: Since this is Fun week, we're mixing up GOAT Tuesday's a little bit and adding in a gymnastics challenge for those who would like to use their 12 minutes to keep their skills in check. CrossFit and Chaka Fit will then be "jumping" for joy when you finish some grip taxing WODs.

Wednesday: Both CrossFit and Chaka Fit feature strengths where we're looking to build in weight. CrossFit will then test your ability to hang onto the barbell with some big sets of olympic style movements. Chaka Fit will test your ability to stay on pace and stay on the minute in a challenging EMOM.

Thursday: We stayed inside for last Endurance Thursday, so why not keep that pattern going. You have 25 minutes to get through 100 thrusters, but you'll have a road block every minute too. Can you make it under the time cap?

Friday: Workouts are always more fun with a buddy, so grab a partner for Friday's CrossFit class to tackle 10 rounds for time. You'll be "pushed" to the limit and "pulling" your partner to the finish line. Chaka Fit takes on a long chipper. Try to keep that heart rate in check and move at a steady pace!

Saturday: We're capping off Fun week by getting under some weight in CrossFit with heavy squats cleans between some gymnastic work. Chaka Fit will be carrying some extra weight as they run and wallball their way through 4 rounds for time! Don’t forget about Barbell at 9am either! This week we’ll be hammering technique on the snatch. See ya then!

Sunday: 10:15 am Boot Camp HIIT Class. 10am- 12pm Open Gym.
